How to Increase Shirt Sales in FIFA 19

Board expectations and objectives add another layer of realism to career mode, but players can often find them frustrating. Many of the brand exposure objectives offer little information on how they can be achieved. Luckily for you, we’re here to help when it comes to increasing shirt sales.

How to view Player Shirt Sales

Before we get into how you can increase shirt sales, you need to know how you’re performing currently. Otherwise you’ll be in the dark about your progress for this particular objective.

Time needed: 1 minute.

How to view your current player shirt sales.

  1. Office

Inside career mode, scroll to the Office tab.

  2. Finances

    Select the Finances tile.

  3. Transactions

Use R1/RB to scroll to the Transactions tab.

  4. Player Shirt Sales

In this list of transactions, there will be a Player Shirt Sales section for each week. It will tell you how much you’ve earned from shirt sales in that week and the top three highest selling shirts. Looking at previous weeks, you can also assess whether your actions are having the desired impact.

Sign ‘Big Name’ Players

This tip seems a little vague but the game does seem to recognise when your club completes a transfer for a big name player. Generally this will be measured on their overall rating. You’re looking for players with a high overall, but more specifically players that have an OVR that is higher than your average in that position.

Keep an eye on your Top 3 Players

Remember we told you how to view your current shirt sales performance? In that section, it will tell you who your top three players are. This might not be the top three players by overall rating, but in the eyes of the fans. Keep a note of these and watch out for changes, these three players are very important to this objective.

Play your Top 3

Once you know who your top three players are, play them regularly. We’d assume that more important games have a bigger effect, but even pre-season tournaments are an opportunity to boost this. You’ll need to rest and rotate your stars, but even subbing them on for the final five minutes of a game counts as an appearance.

Keep them in-form

Big name players and fan favourites are great, but it doesn’t mean much if they aren’t playing well. Good performances in games will affect their form, and both of these things will affect shirt sales. It will help if all or most of your top three players are attackers, goals and assists are the easiest way of getting good match ratings.

We hope you find these tips useful, don’t forget that there can often be a delay in the game updating your progress. Don’t be dissuaded if for example you sign a big player but shirt sales aren’t impacted right away.
