This is the home of all of our guides for FIFA Career Mode. These cover the actual gameplay mechanics (in-game and general management) involved in a career mode save. They are designed to be in depth enough to provide a thorough understanding how that area of the game works, as well as how to achieve desirable outcomes. Further guides are currently being worked on and will be added to the site in due course.
Youth Scouting
This is where FIFA Career Mode Tips began. Youth Scouting wasn’t always well understood, this wasn’t helped by a fair amount of misinformation being circulated. It’s one of the most popular facets of career mode and was the most highly requested piece of content. This guide is now fully updated for FIFA 19 but if you want the FIFA 18 version, you can view that here.
Transfer Guides
Next came the transfer guide. It plays such a huge part in any career mode, it made sense to write a guide that explained everything clearly to newbies but also added value for experienced players. These guides walk you through scouting and shortlisting players, as well as the negotiations involved with clubs and players.
Specialities
Another area of career mode that was shrouded in mystery for many. Why do some players have special descriptors like Acrobat or Complete Defender on their bios? Do they affect the players in game and how do you earn these specialities?
Traits
A guide to help you understand exactly how traits affect players in the game.
Attributes
After we completed the specialities guide, a few readers contacted us to ask if we would do the same but for attributes. Before then we didn’t even realise that many of the attributes and how they interact weren’t that well understood.
Regens and Pregens
Sometimes in career mode you’re lucky enough to find the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic (literally). Our guide explains regens and pregens fully, and provides key methods to find them.
Understanding Potential
Unsure about the difference between showing great potential and has that special something? This guide explains potential in full detail and how to read those descriptors in player bios.
Pre Contract Agreements
By taking advantage of a loophole in the contract system, you can sign highly rated players without paying a transfer fee.
Injuries
Injuries will always happen in career mode. But if you understand how they happen, you can attempt to avoid them.
Skill Moves
Spend some time learning the skill moves available to you in FIFA 21, some of which are new for this year.
