2019 Pre-Contract Players

The first season in FIFA 19 career mode is a great time, one of the biggest reasons is the amazing 2019 pre-contract players you could potentially sign.

2019 Pre-Contract Players:

To get you started, we’ve rounded up over sixty 2019 pre-contract players.

Goalkeepers (GK)

  • Iker Casillas really needs no introduction. He’s 37 now and playing for FC Porto but at 82 overall, could still do a job between the sticks for you.
  • Petr Cech. The 36 year old looks to have been overtaken by Bernd Leno at Arsenal. At 82 overall, surely their loss?
  • Alex Remiro is just about old enough to be snapped up on a pre-contract agreement. But considering the Bilbao stopper is 77 overall and has 83 potential, you’d be silly not to.
  • Alphonse Areola – Providing PSG don’t renew his contract, Areola is a great choice. Still only 25, he’s rated 81 but still has 85 potential.
  • Thomas Strakosha – The Lazio goalkeeper is a towering presence despite his young age. Already fit to be a first teamer at 81 overall, but has the potential to hit 86 eventually.

Right Backs (RB/RWB)

  • Ignazio Abate is 32 now so not a long-term option but at 77 OVR, he could do a job for many teams.
  • Rafael – Currently at OL but he’s still only 28 and has a respectable 79 rating.
  • De Marcos is a year older than Rafael but the Bilbao right back is still useful at 79 OVR.
  • Ibrahima Mbaye is one of the more interesting 2019 pre-contract players in our opinion. He’s 73 overall but he’s still only 24 years of age and has 80 potential.
  • Juanfran is 80 rated, but might not stay there for long considering he’s 33 now.
  • Antonio Valencia is arguably the best right back amongst the 2019 pre-contract players. Yes, he’s now 33, but an 81-rated right back would be an upgrade for most teams.

Left Backs (LB/LWB)

  • Ashley Young – also 33 with a 79 rating, you could poach Man United’s full backs in one go.
  • Fabio Coentrao has a few years on Young (30 years old) but shares his 79 rating.
  • Konstantinos Stafylidis is only 25 so can easily increase his 75 rating to 79. Currently playing for FC Augsburg.
  • Alberto Moreno – The Liverpool right back is 77 OVR but at 26 years old, he can still grow to 79.
  • Nacho Monreal could be an excellent addition to your team. 30 isn’t a terrible age for an 80 rated left back.
  • Filipe Luis has to be the top pick for the 2019 pre-contract players in the left back position. Sure, his age (33) surprised us too, but he is 85 overall.

Centre Backs (CB)

  • David Luiz is a great defensive option at 83 overall, and is handy from free kicks. Not bad for a 31 year old.
  • Victor Ruiz is an alternative if you don’t need a free kick taker. 82 overall but can still reach 83 as he is only 29.
  • Pepe – providing he doesn’t retire in the first year (he’s 35 years old), an 85 rated centre back could really help your defence.
  • Vincent Kompany is also 85 overall but at 32 years old, you might get more value for money – depending on his wage demands.
  • Jan Vertonghen – The Spurs man is currently the highest rated premier league centre back in FIFA 19. An 87 rating is incredible, and he’s still only 31.
  • Diego Godin takes top spot among the centre backs of our 2019 pre-contract players list. Still has a few years left in him at 32, a 90 rated centre back is too good to pass up.

Defensive Midfielders (CDM)

  • Bastian Schweinsteiger – Ageing players don’t tend to move back to Europe from the MLS, but 80 rated CDM is certainly an option for you.
  • Igor Denisov is also 34 years old with an 80 rating.
  • Lassana Diarra also has an 80 rating but is a year younger than the previous two players.
  • Russell Canouse – This could be a shrewd acquisition. The 72 rated CDM is only 23, so should hit his 80 potential comfortably.
  • Nemanja Gudelj78 to 80 overall isn’t huge growth, but at 27, he’s a solid option that won’t decline immediately.
  • Erick Pulgar is another option with growth potential. The 24 year old starts out at 77 but can hit 82.
  • Rosberto Dourado won’t necessarily be a long-term fix, but if you could use an 82 rated CDM, check him out.
  • Daniele De Rossi offers the highest rating (83) of the defensive midfielders, but is 35 years old.

Central Midfielders (CM)

  • Hector Herrera – 28 years old with an 81 rating.
  • Ander Herrera is a year older than his namesake but also has an 81 rating.
  • Nemanja Radoja – The 25 year old is a good option with growth prospects. Currently 76 rated but has 81 potential.
  • Moussa Dembele is still only 31 but has an impressive 83 rating.
  • Cesc Fabregas – exactly the same as Dembele, 83 rating at 31 years old.
  • Aaron Ramsey might be a better alternative, despite his 82 rating. He can reach 83 overall as he is still only 27.
  • Adrien Rabiot would be our recommendation. 83 is already a great overall for a midfielder, but he’s only 23 and can reach 87.

Attacking Midfielders (CAM)

  • Nicolas Lodeiro – the first CAM on our list has a 78 rating and is 29 years of age.
  • Hatem Ben Arfa is slightly better at 79 overall, but he is 31 years old now.
  • Roman Eremenko matches Ben Arfa, 79 rating and 31 years old.
  • Diego Valeri – better stats at 80 overall but is 32 years old.
  • Miguel Almiron – the best CAM of the 2019 pre-contract players. The 24 year old already has an 80 rating, but his potential is 84.

Right Midfielders and Right Wingers (RM/RW)

  • Susaeta is 30 years old but has a decent 80 rating.
  • Eduardo Salvio could be valuable considering his 81 rating, he’s still only 28.
  • Jason is a great option if you’re looking for some growth potential. He’s only 24, so his 75 rating can increase to 81 within a few seasons.
  • Marlos – The Shakhtar man is 30 years old but has an impressive 82 rating.
  • Juan Mata – Another option for Man United. Could be a brilliant addition to your team considering his 83 rating, and isn’t too old at 30.
  • Arjen Robben – Yes, he’s 34 so going to decline and retire soon, but he’s 84 rated. He could be very useful, even if just for one season.

Left Midfielders and Left Wingers (LM/LW)

  • Manuel Fernandes – the Lokomotiv man is 32 years old and has an 81 rating.
  • Mathieu Valbuena is also rated 81, but is a few years older at 34.
  • Jordan Lukaku is your man if you want a younger winger who can grow. Rated 77 overall, the 24 year old can reach 81.
  • Yacine Brahimi has an amazing 85 rating and is only 28 years old, not bad for a pre-contract player.
  • Koke is even better. Also rated 85, but can grow to 86 overall. Surprisingly, he’s still only 26.
  • Anthony Martial is undoubtedly the best left winger among the 2019 pre-contract players, providing you can afford his wages. He’s only 23, so his 84 rating could easily grow to his 90 potential.

Strikers

  • Olivier Giroud is only 32 years old and has an 82 rating. An excellent option if you like to play direct football.
  • Max Kruse is also 82 overall, but is slightly younger at 30 years of age.
  • Sebastian Giovinco also has an 82 rating and is 31. It’s worth mentioning that he ranked pretty high on our list of the best free kick takers in FIFA 19.
  • Divock Origi is still only 23, and has 82 potential. He’s currently rated 77 overall.
  • Jonathan Calleri can also grow from 77 to 82. The Deportivo Alaves striker is 25 years old.
  • Aduriz – if he hasn’t announced his retirement in the first season, he’s bound to in the next season. 83 rated but he is 37 years old.
  • Mario Balotelli – Why always him? 28 years old but still has an impressive 83 rating.
  • Munir is the best striking option here, and completes our 2019 pre-contract players list. The 23 year old is currently 77 rated, but has 83 potential.
